Internship Program

Training the Next Generation in Heritage, Ministry, and Mission

The Circle Seven Ranch Internship Program is a year-long, Christ-centered leadership journey for young adults who feel called to heritage work, ministry, humanitarian aid, traditional skills, and community engagement. This program blends hands-on experience with mentorship, spiritual formation, and structured skill-building rooted in the mission of Circle Seven Ranch.

Interns don’t stand on the sidelines; they join the work. From frontier culture and From living history to humanitarian outreach and artisan crafts, interns learn by doing, serving directly alongside the Ranch Boss, Legacy Keeper, Circuit Rider, and program directors.


Program Structure (12-Month Cycle)

Quarter 1 — Orientation & Foundations

  • Introduction to ranch mission, values, and expectations.
  • Training in professional conduct, communication, and safety.
  • Foundations of living history, heritage ministry, and outreach.
  • Assessment of skills, calling, and ideal track placement.
  • Initial rotations through all divisions.

Quarter 2 — Skill-Building & Track Placement

  • Interns are assigned to their primary track(s).
  • Hands-on training under direct supervision of program directors.
  • Involvement in events, workshops, field exercises, or digital content.
  • Development of core competencies in chosen specialty.
  • Weekly check-ins and mentorship meetings.

Quarter 3 — Project Leadership & Field Operations

  • Interns take on supervised leadership roles within their track.
  • Execution of a major project (event, program, teaching, or media work).
  • Field experience in reenactments, artisan programs, or outreach efforts.
  • Participation in planning, logistics, and team support.
  • Mid-program evaluation and refinement of goals.

Quarter 4 — Leadership Development & Final Assessment

  • Advanced training in leadership, ministry, and heritage stewardship.
  • Mentoring new volunteers or incoming interns.
  • Completion of final capstone project or service initiative.
  • Final evaluation with Ranch Boss and Legacy Keeper.
  • Certification of completion and future placement guidance.

Guided Mentorship

Every intern receives direct guidance from a senior leader. Mentorship focuses on:

  • Professional development
  • Spiritual growth and discipleship
  • Skill mastery and track progression
  • Service, character, and leadership formation

Interns meet regularly with their assigned mentor throughout the year.


Program Expectations

All interns must commit to:

  • Serve with humility, teachability, and integrity.
  • Honor the Christ-centered foundation of the ranch.
  • Maintain professional standards in dress, conduct, and communication.
  • Complete all assigned tasks, rotations, and projects.
  • Represent Circle Seven Ranch respectfully in person and online.
  • Participate in all required training, events, and devotional gatherings.

How to Apply

Applications open seasonally. Prospective interns will be asked to submit:

  • A short statement of calling
  • A résumé
  • One reference (pastor, teacher, employer, or mentor)
